Hi Michael, sorry for the delay. I was away ona week vacation and I'm still
struggling to catch up. Below is what I have on the MIPS parts. Keep in mind
that this list has been compiled from several sources and should not be
considered gospel. But it gives a rough idea for comparison sake.
CPU MHz Sint92 Sfp92
-------------------------------------
R4000PC 100 36.8 40.0
R4000SC 100 58.6 50.6
R4600 100 73.8 63.0
R4600 133 92.1 82.0
R4400 150 86.0 93.2
R4400SC 150 91.7 97.5
R4400 200 117.0 131.0
R8000 (TFP) ? ? 310.0
As for publications, I just follow all the basic trade journals: EE Times,
Microprocessor Report, OEM, etc. and talk to the various manufacturers.
Besides that, here at Concurrent, we make an R4400 box with 4 cpus on a
6-way crosspoint. But it doesn't run WinNT and its not exactly priced in
your league :-) Hope this helps.
